General Meeting Held in Paris

The third general meeting of the HIT2GAP project took place near Paris at Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines from 20 – 21 September 2016.  The HIT2GAP team was generously hosted by Bouygues Energies & Services.

The general meeting was attended by the Project Officer M. Carlos SARAIVA MARTINS who reminded us of the ambitions of the H2020-EeB-07-2015 call (New tools and methodologies to reduce the gap between predicted and actual energy performances at the level of buildings and blocks of buildings). He highlighted to those assembled at the meeting that the specific challenges of this call are related to:

  • the need of capturing the complexities of actual buildings,
  • the need to address the user behaviour.

The PO provided also a short introduction to the projects that are complementary to HIT2GAP:

  • QUANTUM (coord.: TUB, 5.6M€, 14 partners),
  • TOPAs (coord.: MOTOROLA Solutions, 5M€, 9 partners), and
  • MOEEBIUS (coord.: TECNALIA, 6M€, 15 partners),
  • TRIBUTE (coord.: CSEM, 9.9M€, 13 partners).

The PO mentioned that for all of these projects and HIT2GAP, the major issue to be addressed is how to upscale from the projects in terms of replicability potential.

Key outcomes from the meeting, including the Project Officer’s inputs were:

The Project Officer acknowledged that we have a large consortium and that it is therefore important to focus on what we could achieve at the end of the project. And while we will not be able to explore, develop and demonstrate all of the paths identified so far, the possibilities will still be significant.
