FREE Update Workshop: Approved Certifier of Design Scotland - Domestic & Non-Domestic Buildings Information

HIT2GAP partners, BRE, are a scheme provider for the Approved Certifiers of Design (ACD) Schemes Energy for Domestic (housing) and Non Domestic (other) Buildings in Scotland.

The BRE Schemes allows members to determine compliance to the Mandatory Functional Standards of the Building (Scotland) Regulations, Section 6 Energy.  Approved Certifiers provide quality and high standards in building design and construction and by using an Approved Certifier building owners can be assured that they will meet their legal requirements of ensuring work done complies with the building regulations.  Approved Certifiers are those involved in design and construction of new buildings, refurbishment, extensions and alterations.

Two free information sessions have been arranged, and will provide:

  • an introduction to approved certifiers of design (energy) for those design professionals interested in becoming a member and clients who are commissioning building projects
  • updates for existing ACD scheme members on new developments in energy regulations and the use of compliance software.  The roles of the certifier and co-ordinator will be discussed.

The events allow for a tour of BRE’s Innovation Park at Ravenscraig. For more information and to book, visit the BRE events website.
